The Afternoon Book Group: Meeting Days: 3rd Monday, 1:00pm, Wesley Center Room 202 Contact: Dawn Boyd , 837-5243 x109. All women of the church and community are welcome to join the Afternoon Book Group on a regular basis or when a book interests her. Check The Valley Messenger for current books. Meetings are held in Wesley Center Room 202.
United Methodist Women (UMW): Meeting Days: 2nd Tuesday of each month. Contact: Bonnie Roberts, 846-2035. In December a tea is held on the 2nd Saturday in lieu of the regular meeting. This mission-based organization is open to all women of the church. Meetings are held in Wesley Center Great Hall B.
Men’s Breakfast Group: Meeting Days: 3rd Saturday of the month, 8:00am, (cost $5) Contact: Dean McWilliams, 837-0971. All Methodist men are invited to a hearty breakfast and good fellowship at 8:00 am on the third Saturday of each month in Wesley Center. This group has a rotating speaker format with fellowship and fun. Some of the events hosted by the Men’s Breakfast Group are shown below.
The Annual Church Golf Tournament, date TBA, is held at Boundary Oaks, Walnut Creek. We will set up the foursomes to balance handicaps and use a scramble format where the best ball will be played but everyone in the team must count at least 3 of their drives. This enables people of all skill levels to be involved and have a fun time. Please contact Paul Kuelz, 831-3128 if you're interested in participating.
The Martin Luther King Peacemakers: Contact Tom Kring, 968-0605. A group committed to working for peace. This group is a sub-group of Church and Society. We meet the 4th Monday of the month for brown-bag lunch, 12:00-1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.
