Disciple I, covering 85% of the Bible, will be offered on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings this fall. Lasting for 34 weeks, this study encourages approximately 30 minutes of individual daily reading of Scripture and weekly group meetings of two hours. The small group meeting includes discussion of the reading from the week and a video presentation by renowned Biblical scholars which illuminate the week’s study. Disciple I covers the Biblical story from Creation through to the New Jerusalem. The study aims at transformation, not just information. Registration is required. United Methodist Women (UMW):Meeting Days: 2nd Tuesday of each month. Contact: Bonnie Roberts, 846-2035. In December a tea is held on the 2nd Saturday in lieu of the regular meeting. This mission-based organization is open to all women of the church. Meetings are held in Wesley Center Great Hall B.

Men’s Breakfast Group: Meeting Days: 3rd Saturday of the month, 8:00am, (cost $5) Contact: Dean McWilliams, 837-0971. All Methodist men are invited to a hearty breakfast and good fellowship at 8:00 am on the third Saturday of each month in Wesley Center. The annual men's retreat at the Crawford's ranch near Mt. Lassen is held in the fall. This is time for great outdoor meals, good fellowship and plenty of opportunities for fishing and hiking. Please let Horace Crawford, 937-8330, know if you'd like to attend.
The annual church golf tournament, date TBA, is held at Boundary Oaks, Walnut Creek. We will set up the foursomes to balance handicaps and use a scramble format where the best ball will be played but everyone in the team must count at least 3 of their drives. If you have never attended a retreat, please make this your first year. You will come away refreshed and renewed with new friends and a closer relationship to God.
