Infant and Child Care

Our Child Care Nursery

 A bright, cheerful and safe place to bring your child during Worship, Sunday School and Church activities. 
 

The nursery is close to the sanctuary and is one on the sunniest rooms on the campus!

Reservations for child care for all events, except Sunday morning, are made through the church office at 925-837-5243. We need 48 hours notice and will do our best to provide child care.  

Our Nursery Environment
· The Church encourages wonder, exploration, and discovery.
· The Church accepts and provides for the needs of your children.
· Each child is encouraged to grow and explore.
· The equipment is age appropriate, in good condition, cleaned, and examined on a regular basis for broken parts.
· A file is kept with child's name, parents' names & any allergies or special needs of the child.
· Pagers are provided & parent will be paged if child is unhappy or staff determines a parent is needed.

Our Child Care Staff
Our Child Care Manager, Angela Norton, provides child care, supervises other paid child care staff, recruits child care volunteers, and manages the facility, equipment, & toys."Miss Angela" uses the tools of her Master's in Organizational Management to communicate effectively with parents and their children in understanding their needs.

Additional Child Care providers are experienced parents, trained young adults & youth. All paid staff are fingerprinted in compliance with the church's Protection Policy.Sally Andrew, Assistant Manager, has five years SRVUMC Youth Ministry experience and is a Christ Care leader. She also has extensive Boy Scout training
