A native of Ohio, Ron was raised in the San Jose area and graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A. in Psychology in 1973. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio in 1976. Ron was ordained as a Deacon in the California-Nevada Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1975 and was ordained an Elder in 1978. He has served four churches in California: Newcastle (1976-1984), Los Gatos (1984-1992), Livermore (1992-2001) and Alamo / San Ramon Valley (2001-). Ron is married and is the father of four children and three grandchildren.

Ron’s passion for ministry is rooted in the conviction that it is the purpose of the Church to invite people into an ever deepening relationship with God through Jesus Christ even as it equips and trains these same people to use their God given gifts in service to a broken world.  To that end, Ron preaches and teaches a faith that links the head (intellect / theology) with the heart (emotion / feeling) and with the hands (service to others).  He believes that a faith that is vital and healthy is a faith in which all three of these ingredients are woven together.

Originally from Akron, Ohio, Luke was later raised in the Napa Valley and graduated with a B.A. in Religious Studies from Chico State University. He went on to complete his Master of Divinity at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. Luke has previously served as the Youth and Outreach Minister at Wayside UMC in Vallejo, as a Chaplain at San Francisco General Hospital and in the East Ohio Methodist Youth Camp system. 

Luke is currently the youngest appointed clergy member in the California-Nevada Annual Conference and has a passion for helping other young adults learn about how they can serve in vocational ministry. Luke and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Danville. Stephanie is a junior high teacher at a Christian school in Napa.

Sandy says that she is blessed to have an amazing husband, Steve (whom I met in a small group at church!), and three awesome kids: Amy (14), Meghan (12) and Kenny (almost 11).
