Retreats and Camps
Retreats provide respite from our busy lives. SRVUMC offers retreats throughout the year to refresh your spirit.
All-Church Retreat - We usually hold this special annual retreat in late Spring at the Monte Toyon Conference and Retreat Center in beautiful Aptos, CA.
Women's Retreat - Contact: Karen Steffy, 648-2919, or Beth Lewis, 735-3533. A Women’s Retreat is held every year usually in the early part of the year. If you have never attended a retreat, please make this your first year. You will come away refreshed and renewed with new friends and a closer relationship to God.
Wise Women's Retreat - For women in their golden years who seek fellowship and community in the spirit.
Men's Retreat - •The annual men's retreat at the Crawford's ranch near Mt. Lassen is held in the fall. This is time for great outdoor meals, good fellowship and plenty of opportunities for fishing and hiking. Please let Horace Crawford, 937-8330, know if you'd like to attend. •The annual church golf tournament, date TBA, is held at Boundary Oaks, Walnut Creek. We will set up the foursomes to balance handicaps and use a scramble format where the best ball will be played but everyone in the team must count at least 3 of their drives. This enables people of all skill levels to be involved and have a fun time. Please contact Paul Kuelz, 831-3128 if you're interested in participating. The Martin Luther King Peacemakers: Contact Tom Kring, 968-0605. A group committed to working for peace. This group is a sub-group of Church and Society. We meet the 4th Monday of the month for brown-bag lunch, 12:00-1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.
Youth Retreats - Several trips are held during the year, including Fall, Winter Ski Trips, and Youth Camps. See the Youth Group pages for more information.
